St Margaret's College beat St Hilda's Collegiate School 2-0 in the hockey final to secure the quadrangular trophy in the school's centenary year in Dunedin yesterday.

The Christchurch school won the annual quadrangular sports event with 12 points and was followed by St Hilda's 10, Columba College 10 and Craighead Diocesan (Timaru) 8.

St Margaret's won the hockey competition with 12 points and was followed by St Hilda's on eight.

Craighead won the playoff for third and fourth when it beat Columba College 8-0.

Columba won the netball final when it beat St Margaret's 31-22.

Craighead beat St St Hilda's 41-25 to claim third place.

St Hilda's won the badminton with 12 points from Columba 8, St Margaret's 4 and Craighead 0.

St Margaret's won the debating with 12 points.
