Turkey had no answer to the Ice Blacks' onslaught on Saturday night.
New Zealand beat Turkey 8-2 at the Dunedin Ice Stadium to remain unbeaten after two of the five rounds at the division three world championships.
The Ice Blacks beat Luxembourg in the first round 6-2 and look unbeatable because the speed and consistency of their play is better than any other team at the round-robin tournament.
The only other unbeaten team is Greece which beat Ireland 7-3 in the first-round game and had a bye on Saturday.
Mongolia has withdrawn from the championships which means teams drawn to play it get maximum points.
A crowd of 1200 watched a bruising encounter on Saturday night with much pushing and shoving and illegal play off the puck, with players from both sides sent to the sin bin.
New Zealand was a more cohesive unit and played better as a team.
It also sustained the pace of its game better over the three 20-minute periods than Turkey.
Turkey had three outstanding individual players in Emrah Ozmen, Gurkan Cetinkaya and Gokturk Tasdemir.
The first two had great vision, speed and technical skills and were tricky on attack.
They were a class above their team-mates and created goal-scoring opportunities their team-mates were not good enough to convert.
Ozmen broke through the Ice Blacks' defence on several occasions to set up goal-scoring opportunities his team-mates failed to turn into points.
Tasdemir was a strong defender.
The best player in the New Zealand team was Hayden Argyle who scored a hat trick, was a solid defender and had a strong physical presence on the ice.
Josh Hay and Chris Eaden each scored two goals and Jordan Challis did a lot of the grunt work for the team.
The first period was played at a very fast pace with New Zealand holding a 2-1 lead at the break.
It was a much more energetic spectacle than the more sedate pace seen in the other games and the skill level was high.
The Ice Blacks continued at the same hectic pace in the second period, but Turkey was not able to sustain the pressure and fell off its game in the last 10 minutes of the spell.
This was the crucial part of the game when the Ice Blacks scored three quick goals in a five-minute period to lead 6-2 at the end of the spell.
New Zealand kept peppering the Turkish goal for the rest of the spell and sealed the game when it scored two quick goals in the first three minutes of the final period.
The best goal of the game came after 63 seconds in the final spell when the Ice Blacks attacked from their own goal line and moved up the right touch.
The puck was switched to left wing Mitchell Oak who in-passed to Hay in the centre who scored the goal.
In the other game on Saturday night, Luxembourg beat former second division team Ireland 8-3 with Robert Beran scoring a hat trick of goals and Yves Dessouroux two.
Because of the non-arrival of Mongolia to the championship Ireland requested an extra practice game and played Dunedin Thunder last night.
In today's games, Luxembourg plays Turkey at 4.30pm at the Dunedin Ice Stadium and New Zealand plays Greece at 8.30pm.
New Zealand 8 (Hayden Argyle 3, Chris Eaden 2, Josh Hay 2, Brett Speirs), Turkey 2 (Emrah Ozmen, Volkan Toptaner).
Luxembourg 8 (Robert Beran 3, Yves Dessouroux 2, Frank Schram, Benny Welter, Francois Schons), Ireland 3 (Adam Jackson-Wyatt, Gareth Roberts, Dave Morrison).
