Queensland's State of Origin camp is battling a possible flu outbreak three days out from the first game of the series.
Several players were displaying flu-like symptoms on Sunday before the team's public training session at Geelong's Simonds Stadium.
"Generally we're fine but there's a few guys who come down with flu-like symptoms so hopefully we can control it so it doesn't get too out of hand," said lock forward Ashley Harrison.
An enthusiastic crowd of several hundred turned out, many of them decked out in maroon jumpers, to see Queensland's stars play an opposed session against a Melbourne Storm youth side at the Cats' AFL home on Sunday afternoon.
New Queensland captain Cameron Smith and Storm teammate Billy Slater were favourites with the fans along with former Storm star Greg Inglis.
After spending the weekend at the beachside town of Torquay working on their gameplan, the Maroons head back to Melbourne on Sunday to put the finishing touches to their preparations.
