Mr Feelgood continued his preparation for the New Zealand Cup with a win at the Rangiora trials yesterday.
Mr Feelgood beat his Tim Butt and Phil Anderson-trained stablemate Report For Duty by three lengths, with another stablemate, Tribute, a head away, third.
Mr Feelgood, who has been back in work for three months, ran the 2600m in 3.22.9, a 2.05.5 mile rate.
He ran the last 800 in 57.5, the final 400 in 27.6, in the hands of Mark Jones.
He is to trial again at Ashburton next Tuesday in his final lead-up to his first New Zealand start in the Avon City Cup at Addington tomorrow fortnight.
Smooth Moon created a fine impression when she won a qualifying test by 12 lengths.
The Presidential Ball-Sorrento Moon 4yr-old was 3.5sec inside the required time.
She ran the last 800 in 58.8, the final 400 in 29.5 for co-trainer David Butt.
Master Bomber, who has not raced since June 1, was successful at the Washdyke trials yesterday.
He came from 40m in the 1w+ trot to beat Stylish Monarch (20m) by half a length with Domination (40m) two and a-half lengths back third.
Master Bomber, the winner of six of his 24 starts and seven times placed, finished second to the talented Speculate at his previous trials start at Ashburton on August 28.
