The sea air agreed not only with the three winners trained by Graeme Anderson and Amber Hoffman, but also the Mark Jones-trained Mach Kana, who spent the week on the sand.
Anderson and Hoffman's three winners won by a staggering combined margin of 17.6 lengths, with Tommy's Song producing the largest margin of 8 lengths when clearing maidens in the sixth on the card.
But it was King Kenny who produced arguably the most impressive performance, looping the field to take up the lead with two laps to go, then breaking his rivals' hearts with punishing sectionals over the closing lap to win by 7 lengths.
Anderson credited co-trainer Hoffman with the decision to remove the overcheck from King Kenny's gear, and opting for a heavier type of shoe.
''He's got to be the best horse I've trained,'' Anderson said.
''We got him relaxed and ... he's a good horse.''
Highview Anwell franked the form from the Forbury Park trials on Monday with his comfortable win, justifying Anderson's opinion of him in early 2011 shortly before the sales.
''I saw him on the yearling tour and liked him. I liked his dam side, as we didn't know much about American Ideal at that stage,'' Anderson said.
''We gelded him, and he's kept growing. He's always had a good way of going and good ability. You can see he'll be better again next year.
Anderson is in no hurry to make any decisions about the 3yr-old's future.
''We'll just go away and see what happens. He's only 3 and a touch immature. But there's plenty of racing through the winter there, so there's no panic with him.''
Tommy's Song earned his win after what could be described as a difficult lead-up, when the sixth race on the card was rerun.
The first running of the non-winners mobile pace was stopped following a smash when Scotty Is Flyin, driven by Steven Golding, paced roughly and fell going into the first bend. Jonny Cox, driving Tommy's Song, Matthew Williamson (Raja Bromac) and Kirk Larsen (Tristan Bromac) were unable to avoid Scotty Is Flyin and all three drivers were dislodged.
The stipendiary stewards abandoned the race due to safety concerns, but after consultation between the Judicial Control Authority, the TAB, trainers, drivers and club representatives, all parties agreed to rerun the race, with the rest of the card put back one race. Other than Scotty Is Flyin, all other horses and drivers were passed fit to run.
