The Highlanders' quota in the All Black squad has been boosted to eight for the trip to Argentina and South Africa for the last two games in the Rugby Championship.

The side has already claimed the championship after winning its first four games, all with bonus points, but the team has its eyes on a bigger prize.

With hooker Liam Coltman named in the touring squad, there are now eight Highlanders in the squad.

Winger Waisake Naholo has been named in the team and he hopes to be available for the final game of the trip, against South Africa, after getting over his hamstring injury.

The All Blacks fly to Argentina on Friday to prepare for the test against Argentina in Buenos Aires on October 2 [NZ time]. The team then flies to South Africa for the test in Durban on October 9.

Loose forward Sam Cane (hamstring) and first five-eighth Aaron Cruden (groin) will stay in New Zealand as they recover from injury.

Loose forward Jerome Kaino, who hurt his shoulder in the test against South Africa in Christchurch on Saturday night, will miss the Argentina leg of the trip to continue his rehabilitation in New Zealand, and will join the squad in South Africa.

Chiefs back Damian McKenzie is included, although there are concerns after he suffered a concussion last week.

With Kaino unavailable, it may open the chance for playing time for Highlanders loose forwards Liam Squire or Elliot Dixon.

Dixon has not been sighted at all in the Rugby Championship so far. Ardie Savea has been preferred as the loose forward reserve.

When Savea started last Saturday, Crusaders loose forward Matt Todd was preferred on the reserves bench and played nearly half a game when Kaino left the field.

All Black coach Steve Hansen has signalled he is looking to make changes after using the same players for the bulk of the tests this year.

The All Blacks will want to keep on winning as they look to reach a record for the most wins by a country in a row.

The world record for a winning streak in tests is 17, achieved most recently by the All Blacks in 2013-14. The national side is on 15 so the Bledisloe Cup game at Eden Park against Australia on October 22 could result in the record being broken.
