It will be the dance of the desperates in Pretoria tomorrow.
The 15th-placed Bulls will take on the 13th-placed Highlanders at Loftus Versfeld Stadium as both teams look to find some winning form.
It is hardly going to be a box office bonanza for the Bulls front office but is an important match for both teams.
The Bulls have not won a game and the scary thing for them is they have yet to embark on their tour out of South Africa.
The Highlanders have chalked up one win, a last-minute victory over the Brumbies, but had a disappointing loss to the Rebels at home last week.
The sides may be in different time zones but both are going through the same pain.
The two teams have been stripped of experience and are looking to establish some combinations and condition players to to the quicker pace and increased physicality of Super Rugby.
The Highlanders have lost plenty of quality and that is well documented. But the Bulls’ departure lounge has also been busy with quality players such as forwards Jason Jenkins, RG Snyman, Lood de Jager and backs Jesse Kriel and Handre Pollard also moving on.
The Bulls have brought back veteran first five-eighth Morne Steyn from France but after four games he has been moved to the bench and the more exciting Manie Libbok has been moved into the pivot position. The Bulls have played a 10-man game for many years but will be looking to move the ball.
For the Highlanders, it is simply a case of improved accuracy and doing the basics right.
Highlanders coach Aaron Mauger said his side had arrived well and had a couple of good training sessions.
Mauger has been hammering the same message since the start of the season and that was converting opportunities.
"It has been the similar story for the past three games. We are creating chances but it is about taking opportunities and being better at execution. We are not too far away. Just need to take the lessons we have learnt.
"We are just missing those critical things. We just need to clean then up."
Getting away on tour was great for team harmony and the new players were enjoying the South African experience. Some players had visited a game reserve but the focus had now switched to the game.
It is the 50th game of Super Rugby for first five-eighth Mitch Hunt who has been backed by the coaching team as he looks to direct play but his combination with Josh Ioane has failed to catch fire so far.
That probably has much do with too many mistakes by those around them. Hunt and Ioane could fire but it is hard to do when the side is losing lineouts and throwing poor passes.
The Bulls are off on their overseas tour next week so a victory will make for a pleasant trip.
The Highlanders will head to Buenos Aires to take on the Jaguares next week.
