Sevens: Otago pair in NZ squad

Two Otago women have been picked in a 28-strong squad to continue the process to pick a side to contest women's sevens at the 2016 Olympics.

Halie Hurring and Soraya Umaga-Jensen will attend a camp in Waiouru next month for players.

Hurring is a Black Ferns winger while Umaga-Jensen was a member of the national champion Otago Goldrush basketball side last year.

Former Otago and Black Ferns winger Carla Hohepa has also been picked in the squad.

The New Zealand Rugby Union has held 14 camps nationwide over the past few months to identify talent.
