1. Favourite rugby memory?
I used to love going to Jade Stadium as a kid, walking through the tunnel and watching the Crusaders horses running around. That always got me pretty pumped as a young fellow.
2. Hardest opponent?
Upper Clutha are just so well-drilled. You can’t get much past them. And Wakatipu — we always have a good grudge match against them. In terms of players, hard to look past Tyler Ford, from Alexandra.
3. What rugby player do you admire and why?
Wyatt Crockett. He was one of my favourites. He was a Burnside guy, and that’s where I played my junior rugby. And he was just a quiet achiever.
4. What do you do to relax?
Most of the standard Queenstown activities: hiking, camping, four-wheel driving, and snowboarding in winter.
5. If Ben Sisson is cooking, what are we eating?
I’ve just mastered a recipe for a nice beef pilau rice.
