Organiser Jenny Kendrick said the aim of the event was to provide a gathering that was open to all with no alcohol and no drugs.

"I want to bring Dunedin together as a family."
Volunteer Leo Lublow-Catty said the event raised just over $1800 for Outline NZ, a registered charity that provides a free and confidential support line for the rainbow community as well as specialist counselling and a trans and non-binary peer support service.
"It was an amazing night. We had a large turnout of over 50 filling the hall. It was better than all expectations by the end of it."
