Young cattle handler Thomas Hayward (10) has his sights set on becoming an Angus cattleman.

Thomas, who is the son of Roger and Susan Hayward, of Twin Oaks Angus, Albury, won the junior beef paraders, aged 8 to 13 years, leading a Twin Oaks heifer at the Canterbury A&P show.

Almost speechless with pleasure at his win, he was emphatic he would one day run the stud.

Thomas led yearling heifer Goldwyn Emma, bred by Bruce and Barbara Alexander, of Hunter.
