The future of Queenstown building company Hartland Construction Ltd, which was placed into voluntary administration almost a month ago, will probably be known following a creditors' meeting next week.
Hartland once held the G.J.Gardner Queenstown franchise, until termination in January, and was placed under the administration of Auckland-based BWA Insolvency Ltd in late May.
Hartland is the seventh building franchise-related company to get into financial difficulties in Otago during the past seven years, many having been hard hit by the downturn in residential housing.
A creditors' meeting has been called for next Tuesday in Queenstown, where the administrator's report would outline whether a deed of arrangement could be made with creditors, end the administration or place the company in liquidation.
Companies Office records give no indication of Hartland's financial situation.
