Royal Brunei Airlines will increase its flights to and from Auckland from three times a week to a daily service.
A Boeing B767-300 aircraft, with 23 premium seats and 182 economy seats, will operate the flights, Auckland International Airport said today.
The airline has been flying to Auckland since October 2003, serving Brunei and beyond via Brisbane.
The change means an extra 205 seats daily on the already competitive trans-Tasman market.
"Royal Brunei provides an important link to and from the tourism and trade markets of the Philippines, Vietnam and Hong Kong as well as providing an additional 205 seats for the hugely popular and competitive trans-Tasman route between New Zealand and Queensland," Auckland Airport chief executive Don Huse said.
