Two nominations have been received for the Beef + Lamb New Zealand Central South Island farmer director position.
Incumbent director Anne Munro, who has served two three-year terms, has decided not to seek re-election and fellow South Canterbury farmers John Gregan and Bill Wright are both chasing the position.
Mr Gregan, a former chairman of the Meat Industry Action Group, was elected to the Fonterra Shareholders Council in 2013, while Mr Wright is a former chairman of the Beef + Lamb New Zealand South Island Farmer Council.
Voting papers will be posted to eligible farmers on February 5 and must be returned by March 18.
Beef + Lamb New Zealand Western North Island farmer director Kirsten Bryant has been elected unopposed.
