Two mountain bikers have been injured at Signal Hill reserve in Dunedin this evening.

St John communications advisor Gerard Campbell said two people had been hurt and transported to Dunedin Hospital.

One had serious injuries and the other had moderate injuries.

Both were mountain bikers, although it was not known how they were injured.

There was no information about their age or genders.

From a satirical point of view:
Council staff are now urgently reviewing the state of these tracks, adding passing lanes, additional waist high curbing and removal of several thousand recalcitrant trees will be considered. It simply can't be allowed for irresponsible tress to continue injuring innocent cyclists.
