Datsuns roaring in to play Revolver

Incendiary rock band The Datsuns are about to hit Queenstown on Sunday as part of their first string of domestic dates in more than a year.

After a successful tour of the United Kingdom, Ireland, France and Spain, the hardworking former Cambridge band is back in New Zealand this month for a 10-date tour from Leigh to Invercargill.

Singer-bassist Dolf de Borst, guitarist Phil Buckle, guitarist Christian Livingstone and new drummer Ben Cole save the best date for last and play Queenstown's Revolver on Sunday, April 26, with support from The Randoms.

So Long, the second single from their much-lauded fourth album, Headstunts, was recently released on iTunes along with a previously unreleased B-side.

The Datsuns stormed in the New Year in Gisborne at the Rhythm and Vines festival and played the main stage at the Big Day Out on top of the European jaunt.

Tickets cost $33 and are available from Play It Again Records in Queenstown and Wanaka. Revolver doors open at 8pm.
