The All Blacks are 80 minutes from World Cup glory after a systematic destruction of Australia at Eden Park last night.
Their 20-6 win means they qualify for their first final in 16 years, where they will play France in a rematch of the inaugural final in 1987.
The All Blacks simply beat up the Australians, never giving them any territory or possession, and their defence was rock solid.
"Every single man did their bit out there tonight," captain Richie McCaw said immediately after the win.
"It's awesome. We realised we had to be on the job for 80 minutes and it was a pretty good performance.
"I'm a very happy man. But next week to look forward to. We won't get too carried away."
The All Blacks exploded out of the blocks, after public enemy No 1 Quade Cooper put the kick-off out on the full, which was a preview of how his game was going to go.
If the home side had taken all the chances it created in the first half, the game would have been over after 40 minutes.
But the Wallabies hung in and it was only when Piri Weepu kicked his fourth penalty with nine minutes to go, to give the All Blacks 14-point lead, the win was secured.
All Black coach Graham Henry said his players "showed huge character, led by Richie and everybody else who played.
"From minute one to minute 80, they gave it everything."
Henry said the performance came from "four years of planning, four years of guys being frustrated and wanting to do the job, four years of trying to get things right".
"The hunger you saw was because of mental strength."
Now, bring on France, in a game which is sure to be played in an amazing atmosphere this Sunday.
Last night, though, would be pretty hard to beat.
Most of the crowd was in black, and continously backed the home side, with rousing chants and fierce applause as the All Black forwards got on top as the clock wound down.
The All Blacks should go into the final with plenty of confidence, as they seek to redress 24 years of agony.
The French qualified for the final with a nail-biting 9-8 victory over Wales on Saturday night.
France was lucky to win the game after the Welsh lost skipper Sam Warburton to a red card with less than a quarter of the match gone.
France played little rugby in the match and will have to make a massive improvement if it wants to match the All Blacks.
