While the team's links trace back seven years, director Aliana McDaniel has an association of 12 years with the railway station event, from when she first started heading the makeup team. Revlon's generous sponsorship traces back 10 years.
The team's work begins at 3.30pm for the evening events and even with 23 years behind her as a makeup artist Ali continues to get a buzz from the experience.
She spoke highly of the revolutionary Photoready products from Revlon that work well under all lighting situations and with the various makeup looks. ''It's easy to apply, gives the skin really good tonal quality and, as the name implies, photographs well. It's very exciting.''
From Revlon's perspective Christina Fairhurst, the brand's training, promotions and public relations manager in New Zealand expressed delight to be involved with the iD shows.
'It provides the brand with not only exposure in the South Island, but also exposure internationally. Revlon is well known for its involvement with designers at fashions shows in New York, London, Paris and Milan. Our colour stories, designed with input from our global artistic director, Gucci Westman, are designed to complement these seasonal collections and trends to ensure that our customers are always `on-trend' every new season.'
Ali is a gifted makeup artist who trains and prepares her team to ensure that our brand is well-represented with all the designers' collections.'
