Go from 'fat storer' to fat burner (Part II)

Important: If you haven't read Part 1 then go back and read it here now.

In the first article I let you in on why you need to keep your body in a constant "shock zone", because when you keep your body "confused" it has trouble adapting to your exercise programme and the result is increased body-fuel (fat) consumption.

ODT Online Advertorial

Ok, so how do you keep your body in that optimized fat-burning mode?

We use a simple formula: CMP + S + I = MC

CMP (Complex Movement Pattern) + S (Sequence) + I (Intensity) = MC (Muscle Confusion)

A little 'nerdy' I know but let's take a quick look at this trifecta:

Complex Movement Patterns: Are movements that involve multiple muscle groups, such as:

  • Squats
  • The Snatch
  • Tyre Flipping
  • Sled Pulls
  • Kettlebell Movements
  • Deadlifts
  • Lunges
  • Shoulder Pressing

Because these movements involve a lot of muscle groups they require more energy to perform, which means higher caloric consumption.

Sequence: The sequence of movements inside a given workout (this is important.)

Intensity: Means the amount of energy that you invest into the workout itself. The higher the intensity the more caloric debt you create.

When we use Complex Movement Patterns and string them together in the right Sequence and then add a sprinkle of the right amount of Intensity we have set the stage for a "Perfect Fat-burning Storm."

By doing this you create a caloric shortfall and as discussed in the first article this debt must be repaid. This is done in the form of finding more fuel to burn. And guess where that fuel is going to be found?

Yes, in your fat stores!

In fact when you use this equation, you make it incredibly hard for your body to familiarize itself with and adapt to exercise. As discussed in the previous article anti-adaption is the key to big calorie and fat consumption!

I hope you enjoyed reading these articles and got something valuable from them.

Are you ready to take the leap into losing more fat?

Glen Sturgess' BodyShock BOOTCMAMP

BodyShock BOOTCAMP was designed to address the boredom and underwhelming results most exercise programmes deliver. I wanted to create something that was:

1. Fun
2. Challenging and,
3. Focused on burning fat like crazy

BodyShock is a bootcamp/group fitness-style system in which I take my clients through challenging workouts that I've specifically designed to "shock" the body into burning more calories and fat.

If you're new to exercise or you've tried heaps of other programmes and got stuck with ordinary results, then you may want to have a look at this style of training.

What's the next step?

If you're interested and you'd like to learn more about it then all you need to do is call me on (03) 477-8286 or (027) 564-4111. Or you can email me (Glen Sturgess) at: dunedin@snapfitness.com

Body Shock is limited in availability so if you miss out you can sign up for the next intake.
