Stallholder Sue Coulman, of Gore, shows off one of the bird feeders she makes from cups and saucers.

Her stall is one of 87 at the Dunedin Home Show that opened at the Edgar Centre yesterday ahead of a hoped-for busy weekend.

Shoppers and browsers at the show can find materials and information about everything from building to renovation, furniture, appliances, garden design, lighting and much more.

Organiser David Grieve said the home show was "a bit of a Dunedin institution" that had been going for 38 years.

"It’s helped a lot of people."

The show is open from 10am to 5pm today and 10am to 4pm tomorrow.
