Man dead after Sydney wedding shooting: reports

A man is reported to have died after being shot in the head at a wedding reception in Sydney's southwest.

A 23-year-old man was taken to Liverpool hospital in a critical condition after being shot twice in the head at the reception at the Serbian function centre at Canley Vale shortly after midnight, police said.

He died in hospital early Monday morning, according to media reports.

A NSW police spokeswoman was unable to confirm the reports.

Two other men, aged 27 and 25, suffered minor wounds in the shoot-out and were both in a stable condition, police said.

Shocked guests spilled out on to Bareena Street after the shooting and police were interviewing them on Monday morning.

About 20 family members of the injured men gathered at the hospital, with police on guard amid fears of further violence, according to the Seven Network.

Fairfax radio reported a man wearing Comanchero bikie colours was spotted among the crowd at the hospital.

Family members at the hospital clashed with the media and threats were made against a cameraman, Macquarie Radio reported.
