Wallabies star David Pocock is due to face court after he was charged over chaining himself to machinery during a long-running NSW coal mining protest.
The injured former Australian rugby union captain locked himself to a digger with several people as about 30 others blocked entrances to the Maules Creek mine in the Leard Forest last December.
Pocock, 26, and farmer Rick Laird were arrested by Narrabri police after 10 hours.
"To put a coal mine in the middle of a state forest just doesn't seem to make any sense," he said at the time.
Pocock was charged with several offences including entering enclosed land without a lawful excuse.
His matter is listed for mention at Narrabri Local Court today.
