The University of Otago is seeking submissions on its draft ''Strategic Direction to 2020'', a document which will guide its strategic direction for the next seven years.
University director of planning and funding David Thomson said staff and the general public were invited to give feedback on the plan.
The document was an evolution of the university's ''Strategic Direction to 2012'', which was developed in 2005 and 2006.
Changes from the previous document included ''a more comprehensive articulation of the university's commitment to Treaty [of Waitangi] partnership'', giving greater focus to ''student experience'' and an emphasis on sustainability.
The document also focuses on ''supporting not only the academic, but also the social and cultural development of our students''.
The consultation period ends on May 6 and the final document is expected to be approved by the university council in June.
The draft document and a response form are available at www.otago.ac.nz/about/officialdocuments.html
