The mass axing of post boxes in Dunedin continues, as another 10 are scheduled for removal.

New Zealand Post regional service delivery manager Murray Rei confirmed the boxes were due to be taken away tomorrow.
However, as the removal work was weather dependent it could be delayed until Tuesday.
The final mail clearance from the 10 boxes would take place today.
Another nine post boxes in Dunedin were also being reviewed and could be removed on February 10.
They are located at:
• 39 Kenmure Rd, Belleknowes
• 2 Hocken St, Kenmure
• 13 Kaikorai Valley Rd, Kaikorai
• 71 Nairn St, Kaikorai
• Shetland and Forresbank Ave, Wakari
• 4 Queens Dr, St Kilda
• 48 Richardson St, St Kilda
• 119 Prince Albert Rd, St Kilda
• 67 Macandrew Rd, South Dunedin.
''These boxes are being removed as part of our continuing review of public posting boxes,'' Mr Rei said.
NZ Post removed 21 post boxes from Dunedin last year.
Gray's Studio owner Chris Collins said he was ''disgusted'' the post box at 76 Highgate outside his framing studio was being removed.
''It's absolutely unbelievable.''
He was ''gobsmacked'' by the lack of consultation and the ''facelessness'' of New Zealand Post during the review process.
The removal was taking place despite a review that revealed the daily average of mail lodged in the box was 31 and NZ Post considered a box to be viable when 30 items were posted a day.
''There are no grounds for removing this post box.'' Mr Collins said.
Mr Rei said the decision to remove the 10 boxes tomorrow was made after a review of the boxes' usage and sustainability.
''The amount of mail posted in post boxes continues to fall.
''We need to make sure we have boxes in locations where people go for their day-to-day activities so that they are well used, such as going to the shops.
''For example, the closest alternative boxes to 76 Highgate is at the Fresh Choice supermarket 650m down the road.''
When the 19 boxes were removed, more than 100 post boxes would remain in the wider Dunedin area, Mr Rei said.
