Wheelchair user hit on Dunedin pedestrian crossing

A wheelchair user was taken to hospital after they were hit by a car on a Dunedin pedestrian crossing.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Macandrew Rd, South Dunedin at 8.15am yesterday, Acting Senior Sergeant Iain Notman, of Dunedin, said.

The 20-year-old was taken by ambulance to Dunedin Hospital as a precautionary measure, he said.
