The Australian policeman injured after falling from a wall in central Dunedin remains in a serious but stable condition.
Dunedin Police Rugby Club president Inspector Matt Scoles created a givealittle page to raise funds for the injured officer, Patrick ''Paddy'' Harding.
Mr Harding (33) fell from a wall in Bath St on April 23.
The Australian Federal Police officer had earlier played in the Australian Police XV against the South Island Police XV at Forsyth Barr Stadium.
Nearly $6000 had been given.
Mr Harding's wife, Carly, was at his bedside.
Some of the money raised would help get his two children to Dunedin to be with their father, the page said.
Money given would also assist with the long-term recovery and rehabilitation of the Canberra-based officer.
