All things spooky

Wakari residents Lilly Jeffery, 8, Shane Wilson and Paula Jeffery promise their home will scare the living spirits out of you.

Their suburban house at the top of Beresford St has been transformed from family home to knee-shaking haunt for neighbours to warily wander through.

Mr Wilson said the house featured many skeletons, spiders and all things spooky — along with a healthy dose of clowns.

"This is my second time doing a haunted house — I only started buying decorations last year."

His entry into the world of horror began with a garage sale.

"We went past and noticed the woman was selling off a bunch of her Halloween stuff — I mean, that was it ... and from there it just kept coming and coming."

His collection included a skeleton bride and groom, bought recently to celebrate Mr Wilson’s and Ms Jeffery’s upcoming wedding, and a skeleton throwing up "poison".

Visitors are invited to wander through from 5pm today.
