Police are calling for anyone who witnessed an assault by a group of about five people on Friday afternoon in the middle of Richardson St, South Dunedin to contact them.
Detective Sergeant John Hedges, of Dunedin, said a man received a minor knife injury to the chest in the incident, which had also resulted in a vehicle window being broken.
If anyone had information they should contact Dunedin CIB, Det Sgt Hedges said.
