Broken water main affects supply in Caversham

Water flows from a hydrant as emergency services help handle a burst water main in Hazel Ave, Caversham, in Dunedin yesterday. A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokeswoman said emergency services assisted at the scene by relieving pressure through a hydrant and informed the Dunedin City Council of the damage. Council Three  Waters group manager Tom Dyer said contractors were working to repair the main and the supply was expected to be reconnected by last night.
