A driver walked away unhurt after their car rolled on to its roof after hitting a bank in Dunedin yesterday, police say.

A police spokeswoman said police were called to Queens Dr, Belleknowes, at 3.23pm after the driver lost control.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand also attended the incident.

Nobody was injured in the crash, the spokeswoman said.

One lane was blocked for a short time.
