Several occupants of a car avoided injury when their car collided with a fallen tree on Dunedin’s Northern Motorway last night.
A police spokeswoman said the incident happened about 9.30pm after the tree fell across two lanes of State Highway 1.
Traffic was diverted down Leith Valley Rd, between Dunedin and Leith Saddle, while the tree and vehicle were removed.
