A woman in her 70s was taken to Dunedin Hospital last night after the car she was driving collided with another car and then hit a house in Corstorphine.
Senior Sergeant Jared Kirk said the circumstances of the crash were ''a bit peculiar'' but it appeared the woman reversed into an oncoming car then side-swiped a house on the corner of Middleton Rd and Dovecote Ave.
The woman was ''definitely shaken up'' but received only minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution after the accident about 6pm.
The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured and the house had only minor damage, Snr Sgt Kirk said.
