Television presenter and producer Carol Hirschfeld has announced she is leaving TV3 to work for Maori Television.
Hirschfeld, executive producer of Campbell Live, will leave in August to become head of programming for Maori Television.
TV3 director of news and current affairs Mark Jennings said he was disappointed to be losing someone of Hirschfeld'scalibre, but supported her desire to strengthen her broadcasting and management skills.
Hirschfeld said she had mixed feelings leaving TV3.
"I have had a very happy and rewarding 11 years at TV3 and it is with real sadness I will say goodbye to my colleagues at the channel."
Hirschfeld said she would particularly miss John Campbell, "but I'm immensely grateful to him for the gracious support he's shown over my decision to take up this new position".
