Chin tight-lipped on extraordinary stadium meeting

Dunedin Mayor Peter Chin had no comment yesterday evening on the outcome of an extraordinary meeting between the Dunedin City Council and the Carisbrook Stadium Trust.

The closed-door meeting was designed to iron out an agreement setting out the responsibilities of both groups towards the stadium.

Mr Chin said he would be out of town until tomorrow night and indicated no information from the meeting would be made public before his return.

Settlement of a service level agreement, and the establishment of a project control group, were among eight conditions the council set down in March when it agreed to continue funding the stadium.
