A spokesman said construction of four new council community housing units was expected to start later this year.
He said the new units would feature a universal design to support accessibility and better address the growing needs of the community.
"This is part of our ongoing commitment to improve and increase the DCC’s community housing portfolio in Dunedin," he said.
