The pair have since been living in a car beside the park.
One of the couple, who the Otago Daily Times has agreed not to name, said they have been keeping guard over their belongings until they have somewhere to go.
Since having their belongings dumped at the park, she had had to dealt with slander, "rubber-neckers", the council, police and posts on social media about the pair’s situation.
A Dunedin City Council spokesman said the council was aware of the situation and had asked contractors to follow up with the people involved. — Allied Media
