People calling the Dunedin City Council have encountered delays at peak times, as an upgrade of the phone and email systems is being implemented.
"The new system is going to be great — it’ll allow us to offer callbacks, online chat sessions and more self-service options, among other improvements," the council said in a social media post.
"Unfortunately, we are still ironing out a few kinks in the new system and staff are still getting up to speed with the new technology.
"You should notice a big improvement over the coming weeks."
