Leroy Rust, of Dunedin, holds one of the blue cod he caught while kayak fishing off the coast at St Clair Beach yesterday. Mr Rust and a friend decided to head out fishing because the conditions on the water looked good.
The pair caught several blue cod, a barracouta and a scarlet wrasse.
