Downed cable halts traffic

Ravensbourne Rd was closed to traffic for a short time about 8pm yesterday after an overhead cable came down on to the road.

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said crews from the Ravensbourne station were called and secured the scene until the damage was repaired.

Power company Aurora reported no outages in the area.
