If a "cheesy'' face off in Dunedin between former All Blacks Kees Meuws and Tom Donnelly is any indication, the All Blacks could be ``on a roll'', although the final test at Forsyth Barr Stadium this Saturday could be a close-run thing.

In a light-hearted battle between the classic cheese roll and French favourite croque madame, Meuws (left) and Donnelly both gave the cheese roll created by Joy Jones, of Robbie's Bar & Grill, a perfect 10.

But Dunedin Botanic Garden cafe Croque-o-dile's interpretation of the French staple came close, with a 9.5 from Meuws and a 9 from Donnelly.

The pair were well-qualified judges, having both spent several years playing rugby in France.
