A frosty start is possible in Dunedin this morning and although conditions will remain cool, slightly more warmth is likely to follow the departure of yesterday’s cold front, the MetService predicts.
A high of 9degC is predicted for the city today, up from yesterday’s 6degC maximum.
MetService meteorologist Stephen Glassey said snow was not expected in Dunedin today, although rain showers could fall at night.
Frostier conditions were expected in inland Otago, but also finer weather later in the day.
Northeasterlies were expected to develop in Dunedin in the evening, and to continue until the end of the week, he said.
