Gas leak at building

Fire engines were gathered outside the Dive Otago building on Wharf St after receiving a call about a gas leak this morning.

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said they received the call shortly after 8am and found some leaking gas cylinders when they arrived on the scene.

Crews isolated the cylinders and contacted a local energy company to secure them.
