Harry Walker-Leach and tries just seem to go together.

Harry (6) has just completed a season of rippa rugby for the Green Island under-7 black side and managed to score a mind-blowing 104 tries.

With 15 games played throughout the season, Harry has averaged nearly seven tries a game.

The Fairfield School year 2 pupil is part of a side which has lost just one game all season, with Harry playing his heart out in every game.

This is his third year of playing rugby, and after scoring 44 tries last season, he really got some practice under his belt over summer and it bore fruit this season.

He is good friends with Harbour player Max Braithwaite, who scored a century of tries for his rippa rugby side last year. That feat inspired Harry.

Harry is coached by Tony Burton and is looking forward to moving to the tackle grade next year. Harry, who turns 7 next month, is an ardent student of the game.

He was on 97 tries before last Saturday and managed to score seven tries against Taieri to crack the century.
