Contractors continue work installing steel beams on a new multi-storey Dunedin office block.

The first two phases of structural steel have been completed at the site of the new Accident Compensation Corporation building, in Dowling St.

In a post on social media, a Naylor Love spokesman said the ground floor slab work was well under way.

The first suspended slab section had also been poured, he said.

Phase three was expected to begin next week, with more steel to be erected and precast panels on the way.

Come Christmas, the project would have undergone "a remarkable transformation", the spokesman said.

The structure is expected to be completed by mid-2025.
