Road cones returned to Great King St yesterday as work on the Dunedin bus hub resumed after a break over the Christmas period.

The Otago Regional Council halted the project for six weeks from late November, citing the need for shoppers to access the area during the holidays.

The council says the hub will be the final piece of the puzzle in a raft of changes it has made to the city’s public transport.

After several delays, the hub is now expected to be completed in late February and operational early in March.

Another high quality on time, well planned and over-budgeted project for a bus service not supported and used by ratepayers. Go DCC..

i just feel bad for those 4 shops between the corner and the police station, they're having it hard and for quite a while, too.
