Logan Park orchestra tours Dunedin

Pupils from the Logan Park High School philharmonic orchestra perform a free lunchtime concert at the Dunedin Public Art Gallery, led by music head of department John Dodd yesterday.

The concert was part of an extracurricular tour of the city by the orchestra, which included a concert at George Street Normal and Opoho schools.

Mr Dodd said the 45 pupils enjoyed performing in front of an audience and playing a diverse range of music which included hits by the Beatles to the first movement of Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony.

The tour had became a tradition at the school and something the pupils looked forward to, he said.
