Earthmoving machines get stuck into work laying down new tracks at Dunedin’s Rotary Park.

Project lead Gordon Tucker said the tracks were part of a wider project, upgrading the park to mark Dunedin Rotary’s centenary in 2023.

Improvements to enhance the park included plantings, bike and pump tracks, barbecue areas and upgrades to the dog park, he said.

The club had been planning the project since 2021 and the work was expected to run until 2026.

On Saturday, May 31, a planting day will be held at the park from 9am, and volunteers were welcome. P
