Parking plan post dollar store demolition

Demolition work at 121 Great King St, which used to be the premises of the recently closed "This ‘n’ That" store, has begun. 

Earlier this year, the Otago Daily Times reported the demolition would make room for additional customer parking for the nearby New World supermarket and allow for improved traffic flow in and out of its carpark.

Supermarket owner Foodstuffs said it planned to install a dedicated exit ramp from its basement carpark to the street, subject to Dunedin City Council approval.
