Two people had to be extracted from their vehicles after a crash on Dunedin's northern motorway, just north of Pine Hill, this evening.
Emergency services were notified about 5.50pm, and two people were taken to Dunedin Hospital.
It is believed the vehicles were in a head-on collision.
A detour is in place through Leith Valley, but it is not suitable for trucks.
