During 2009, the Sport Otago Active Schools team is offering all primary and intermediate schools throughout the Otago region the opportunity to attend low cost physical activity professional development workshops.
All workshops are two hours in duration (3:30pm – 5:30pm). Most workshops are offered at a minimum cost of $10 per participant, which makes them affordable enough to send a number of teachers along.
Kerri Bush, Active Schools Facilitator with Sport Otago said “Our workshop programme is designed to equip teachers and schools with all the tools needed to operate a successful and sustainable physical activity programme - and all at a very reasonable cost, so why not get involved?"
Topics for Term Two include: • Indoor-dex (13 May) • Funding & Fundraising (20 May) • Event Management (27 May) • PAL training (3 or 10 June) Registration is required for all workshops.
